Originally from Montana, Clayton grew up on his family’s cattle ranch where he learned horsemanship through real ranch work — branding, doctoring, roping, and farming alongside riding and training horses.
This foundation shapes his training philosophy: developing well-rounded performance horses that excel both in the arena and on the ranch. Clayton believes in providing horses with practical, real-life applications that keep them mentally sound alongside competitive arena training.
In addition to training and competing, Clayton conducts horsemanship, roping, and cow horse clinics internationally, welcoming riders of all levels.
